In the first quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing app market on Android in Latin America showcased notable trends. According to Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varying performance in terms of downloads and active users.

Uber - Request a ride saw a consistent level of weekly downloads, peaking at around 590K in early February before tapering to approximately 490K by the end of March. The app's active user base increased steadily, climbing from about 31M to nearly 36M by the quarter's end.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 410K in mid-March. The active user count fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at around 12M and closing at roughly 13M.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides showed an upward trend in weekly downloads, reaching nearly 380K in late February. Active users also increased, starting from about 18M and peaking at over 21M by the end of March.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a stable download rate, with a slight increase towards late March, reaching about 220K. Active users showed a slight decline, starting at over 6.2M and ending around 5.9M.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery experienced significant growth in downloads, peaking at over 300K in early March. The active user base rose sharply from about 1.6M to over 3.1M by the end of the quarter.
